Spring Hair Trends

Hey guys,

So about 2 months ago, I went to the ISSE hair show in Long Beach! If you don't know, this is a huge convention, dedicated to hair and skincare. Anyways, while I was there, a big focus of it was on the new spring hair trends! I really wanted to share them with you here are the ones I found super cool!

- The "wet" hair look- This is a love or hate trend, I don't know if I would be able to pull it off but its super edgy. Basically, it is where your hair from a far looks soaking wet, but really it is gelled to a hard shiny consistency

- Ombre hair- I LOVE this look. This is when your hair goes gradually dark to light from top to bottom. I think it is so boho chic and gorgeous for spring!

- Dip dyed ends- another look that I absolutely love! This is when the ends of your hair is dyed a bright color like pink or blue. It is so fun and perfect in spring

- Braids, braids, braids- this season braids are very in. Any type of braids, and especially braided updos. I love braids for spring because they add a feminine touch to any look!

Birchbox January 2012

Hey guys,

So I got my pretty pink birchbox package in the mail last week, and let me say, I really enjoyed this month's box! I can successfully say that I tried every single product in it  and loved them all! 

So the first Product was the Origins Checks and Balances face wash. I love this product. It leaves my face feeling really clean. The only downside, is that if your face or hands aren't wet enough when applying this product, it feels a little ticky until you pput moisterizer over it.

The next product is the VMV Hypoallergenics Re-Everything lotion. I like to use this as a hand moisturizer. It has a subtle scent, that smells really nice and fresh, and has amazing ingredients like green tea. It is a semi-thick cream, going on thicker and then rubbing in thinner.

I was most excited about this next product. It is a full sized stila eyeliner. Mine is in a gorgeous aqua blue color called Peacock. I love that not only is it aqua colored, but it has some metallics in it. This will be perfect for many eye tutorials I am planning on my youtube channel . I also really enjoy its application. It is very smooth, and smudges out the perfect amount. 

 

The last product I got I actually already have a full sized to, and that is Viva La Juicy perfume. I love this scent, so this will be a perfect mini for my purse!

Project Ten Pan

Hey Guys,

So me and Mikaela (mikaelasarahxo on youtube) have realized that we been buying WAY to much makeup recently. We have decide that we are going to do Project Ten Pan. If you don't know what it is, Project Ten Pan is when you basically do not buy any makeup until you have finished 10 of your old products! It is a great way to discover old products that you haven't used in a while, and save money! Me and Mikaela have came up with rules that we are going to follow for Project Ten Pan, but these are just the rules we are going to use, not the only rules you can use! If you would like to do this with us please comment down below, saying that you are going to do it with us, and then it will be like we are all doing Project Ten Pan!

We will have updates on my youtube channel, and on here about how wer are doing in terms of the project!

Here are our rules:

Project 10 Pan Official Rules:

1)  You must finish 10 MAKEUP products COMPLETELY (i.e. done everything you can to finish it).

2)  You cannot use an abnormally large amount of a product just to finish it.

3)  No using gift cards or store credits to buy anything (YOU WILL GO OVER YOUR BUDGET AND FAIL).

4)  No begging others to buy you something and saying you will pay them back later.

5)  You may buy and receive others birthday gifts but not your own.

6)  You may trade products with each other.

7)  Mini products or products that are already half way finished count as ½ a product.

8)  NO EXCEPTIONS FOR LIMITED EDITION PRODUCTS.

9)  Nail Polish counts.

10)  No buying makeup until we have both completed “Project 10 Pan”.

 FALIURE TO FOLLOW RULES RESULTS IN COMPLETELY STARTING OVER.

If one fails we both fail.

My New Years Resolutions!

Hey guys,
So I know it's a few days late but, Happy New Year! Before 2011 ended, I tried to come up with new years resolutions, but I couldn't think of any. But for some reason tonight, I have come up with a whole bunch. I understand these are supposed to be made before the new year, but whatever :) so here are the new years ressolutions I have made (but in no mean am saying that I will be able to keep):

- Post at least 2 videos a week on my channel

- Blog once a week

- become a youtube partner! (again, not saying this will happen, but, it's a nice goal to have)

- Make every thursday a makeup free day ( or mainly makeup free)

- Try not to use my computer until after dinner each school night (so I don't get distracted from hw)

-Try and go to bed by 11 (failing at this right now, but hey! It's something to aim for, right?)

- Learn how to paint my nails well

- Get ahead on school work

- Spend more time on photography 

- Save my money and don't spend it all!

- Take a 30 minute walk/run at least once a weekend

-Take time to enjoy 2012!

Birchbox December 2011

Hey guys,

So a week ago, I got my December birchbox, but before reviewing products this time, I decided to spend a week using them all, so that I could thoroughly review each product. So let's get started:

Benefit the Porefessional: I LOVE this primer. It goes on very smoothly underneath my makeup. It's thicker than the smashbox photofinish primer, but has the same consistently. Putting it on under my makeup makes it go on so much better, and really show's a difference.

Jouer lip gloss in Birchbox Pink: I love this color. I have always loved Jouer lip glosses, but I absolutely this color. It is a HOT pink, but goes on sheer and is very buildable. It is smooth and silky, and would look good on everyone!

Yogini Perfume: ehh...kind of boring, just your typical musky scent. When I read online that it was a calming scent, I was really excited to try it. But it is not calming at all, just a typical perfume. Not in love with it.

Olie Biologique Huile Moderne: I really don't like this product. It smells really wierd, and is honestly pretty pointless. It is basically just a bad smelling oil, that is very greasy. I am not a fan.

Show Stoppers: I love these! They are double sided tape, but meant to help hem clothes. They are so perfect for quick fashion emergencies and fixes.

Eboost orange natural energy booster: I actually have not tried this product yet, I am saving it for travel. however, I have tried products like this and they are decent. They are perfect for travel though.

Review: Pangea Organics Discovery Kit Normal to Dry Skin

Hey guys,

So recently, I discovered my new absolute favorite skincare brand: pangea organics! I recieved some of their products in birchboxes I have gotten, but just kind of threw them aside. But recently, I was really bored and wanted to play with new skin care products, so I tried the samples I had gotten, and I am in LOVE with them! So I bought the starter kit, after trying it, I have very strong opinions on the products I find absolutely necessary, and the products I find useless:

Here is an overview of all of the products, I mainly enjoy all of these products.

 

Ok so the first product is the Japanese Matcha Tea mask. I had heard so many good things about this before tyring it, so I had very high expectations. My thoughts? I did not like it. First of all, it does not smell nor look good. It almost smells like the vicks nasal inhalor, which is NOT what I want my face to smell like. Also, it is a gross brown color. After trying it I also found out it did nothing for my skin...that's right...absolutely NOTHING. I didn't feel or see a difference at all. This product is soo not worth it.

 

The next product is the Egyptian Geranium Facial scrub. This product is AMAZING. However, it has one downfall...it's smell. It smells like veggies...I'm sorry but I don't need my face to smell like vegetables...sorry. Other than that though, it is an amazing product. I like to use it after I wash my face. From the moment you put it on your face, you can feel it working. There are little exfoliant beads in it to scrub off dead skin, however, it is a very mild scrub so you can use it once a day. The best part is when you take it off your face, and you can feel how smooth and healthy your skin is.

 

The next product is the Egyptian Calendula facial cleanser. Over all, this is my favorite product that came in the set. My favorite part of this cleaser would definitely have to be its smell. This product smells fresh and delicious, and reminds me of getting a facial at a spa. I love the consistancy of this cleanser. it is a cream cleaser so it is very highdrating and smooth. When you take it off, your skin feels soft and clean.

The next product is the Italian Red Mandarin facial cream, which I am not a fan of. The smell is not so great, and it makes my face very sticky. Basically enough said

The last product is the French Rosemary toner. I love this product. It has a very fresh and floral scent which I love. I also love the affect of this product. After applying it makes your skin feel so soft but with out any excess oils. This product is a must!

Birchbox October 2011

Hey guys,

So the other day I got my october birchbox! now I know I haven't done a birchbox haul in a really long time, but I felt like doing one today:

If you don't already know what birchbox is, it is a 10 dollar a month service, where you recieve 4-6 deluxe high end samples. I love this because it gives you an oportunity to try things out you normally wouldn't. So let's get started:

 

 

The first product I got is the Amika Obliphica Hair treatment. I have actually tried this before and I absolutely love it. It makes your hair shiny and soft.

 

The next product I got is the Laura Geller Spackle Tint Under Makeup Primer in bronze. I haven't used this product yet but I really like the idea of it. I think it will give me a nice summery glow during the dull winter days

 

I also recieved the Clark's Botanicals Radiance Facial mask. I also have yet to use this but it smells amazing. It is definitely a longer time commitment to use, considering it takes 30 minutes to fully work, but I think it will be worth it and cannot wait to try it.

 

The next product that came in my birchbox is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Hydrafull gloss. I love the consistancy of this lipgloss. When I first saw it I laughed because of how odd the color looks. It is a bright sparkly orange coral color in the tube. When I tried it on though, It was a beautiful coral color, which would be perfect for summer, I don't know how much use I will get out of it this fall.

I'm back!

Hey guys,

So I am back! I got back from vacation about 3 weeks ago but have been attacked with school work. So I have done some thinking about how I am going to manage both a blog and youtube and here has what I have come up with: I will use the blog for mainly reviews of products, giving my opinion and watches of the products. I will also do things lie "Fab Fives" where I list and swatch my favorite 5 makeup item of a catergory. As for my youtube , I will use that for tutorials, tags, and hauls.

Going on Vaca!

Hey guys, 

so as you can probably tell, my posts have been pretty sparce lately. That is because I am prepping to go on a huge three week vaca and I'm leaving at the end of the week. I have had so much to do in preparation that unfortunately I have not had time to blog. I wanted to update you all quickly and tell you that I will not have another post up until the end of August or September. When I get home I will have to go back to school, so it might take a little bit of time for me to post again. I hope you all understand, however, I have some pre recorded youtube videos ready to be uploaded so I will upload them to my channel this week. before I leave!
